This is the Swing-Low oil pan for all ZX14 motors.
The Swing-low features this unique, patented, swinging, pick-up, the follows the oil.
Only 7/8 thick. You can now lower your bike almost another inch.
Only two parts of the system, the pick-up and the pan.
Uses stock pan gasket. No modification on any parts.
You will never starve your engine again. Let me explain.
When you let go of the button, let’s say you are only pulling 1G. (A 1.25 60’ is 2.1 G’s!!) This puts the oil up against the back wall at a 45-degree angle. Gravity and acceleration are splitting the work. Keep in mind that the stock pick-up location is in the front of the motor. The baffles in the other style pans are trying to keep the oil in place. Only one problem, the oil is being vacuumed up by the oil pump, cycled thru the motor and rains back down, against the back wall because you are accelerating. So much for the baffles. On top of that, there is a baffle that covers the whole pan. This baffle is acting like a roof keeping the oil from retuning to its rightful place. Also, that area that is trying to hold the oil in place, will soon be dry. and the baffles that try and keep the oil from going backwards, are now keep the oil from going forward, where the stock pick-up is.
The Swing-low solves that problem. On the leave, the oil goes to the back. So does the pickup. No baffles to hinder the natural physics of acceleration. The pick-up is right where it needs to be, deeply submerged in that life blood of your motor.
After the run you are on the brakes. The oil slams against the front of the motor. The pick-up is right there with it. Especially important with slider clutch bikes! The motor may not be under load, but it’s still spinning at 12,000 rpm. Not the time to have a baffle choking off the oil supply.
The Swing was in development for 3 years before it was brought to market. It has set 7 National records and won the National championship in back-to-back years. It works. It works very well. Simple to install also. Drop the stock pan, pull the plastic pick up. Insert the Patented swing pick up, flip the cross over tube, and put the new pan on with a stock gasket. Bolt it up and you are done. So, if you have ever tagged a bearing, or even broken a rod due to lack of oil pressure. Or, if you never want to have this problem.
The Swing-Low pan is what you need.
